Utilizing areas in your landscape to grow edibles is a way to add food on your table and reduce your grocery bill. This program teaches you how to incorporate edible plants into your home garden and landscape. You will learn how herbs, fruits and vegetables can add to the colors and textures of your permanent landscape - combining both aesthetics and functionality.

Drip irrigation delivers water slowly at low pressure directly to the root zone of plants. Because of the slow and direct application, very little water is lost to evaporation or run-off. Back by popular demand, Patty Sipe and Caryn Walz will cover installing and converting existing systems to drip, using drip for foundation watering, and troubleshooting common problems.

Discover ways to use your kitchen scraps to create a healthy garden. This free workshop will cover the benefits and uses of composting, types of composting, and how to use these techniques to naturally increase production and yield in your landscape. Join Frisco Water Education Coordinator Kristy Woodard, as she discusses the "how-tos" of composting with tips for set-up and maintaining a bin or pile.
