Rain Harvesting

Capturing rain from your roof and storing it for later use on your landscape is a great way to save money and water. You can make a rain barrel on your own or purchase a wide variety of pre-made models. Click Here for instructions on how to build your own.

Rain water harvesting not only saves you money, but it also reduces the amount of water that runs off of your landscape. Rain water runoff in the storm water system enters our waterways, taking any pesticides or fertilizers applied to the landscape with it.

Instructions for a wide variety of home-made systems can be found on the internet. More and more home improvement and hardware stores are offering pre-made barrels as well.
