After You Apply Online
After you apply for a position online, you must download, complete, and submit the Preliminary Interview Form (PIF) to the Frisco Police Department. Completed forms can be sent via postal mail or dropped off in person at the police department headquarters building. Visit the Contact Information page for location information.
At the completion of your online application, additional instructions will be provided to you. Individuals who submit completed PIFs and are deemed to be "most qualified" will be contacted by a background investigator for further processing.
Completing the PIF
You must complete the Preliminary Interview Form and answer all questions provided in the form. Failure to do so may delay or discontinue your processing for a position with this agency. If you answer "yes" to any question or need to provide further clarification on any point, please provide a detailed explanation in the space provided underneath the question. You may also write on the back of the PIF or attach additional pages.
If you have questions about the PIF you can email JoinFPD@FriscoTexas.gov or call 972.292.6113. Please note that falsification, omission, or otherwise dishonest responses to anything asked in the PIF may result in the termination of your application. Information provided in the PIF may be validated later in the application process by the use of a polygraph examination.
