The Lone Star Storytelling festival needs you! Become a volunteer and support an event that impacts so many in our community. Join the fun and help set up or take down, take tickets or usher.
Field Trip Day is one of the festival’s principal programs. Frisco ISD children and teachers meet at the Dr Pepper Arena in Frisco, on Friday, October 19 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. to hear storytellers perform. We will need assistance coordinating the loading and unloading of buses as well as guiding and ushering students.
Volunteers will have the opportunity to catch some of the storytelling in between coordinating the children and teachers.
We also need volunteers for other days and times during the festival:
Thursday, October 18
5 p.m. – 7 p.m.
7 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.
Friday, October 19
6:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
Saturday, October 20
Shifts available from 8:30 a.m. – 9:30 p.m.
All volunteers must be registered with the city at MyVolunteerPage.com and background forms must be completed if you are 18 years of age or older. Background checks expire after one year and may need to be resubmitted by returning volunteers.
If you want to volunteer for any of the shifts above, please email tcolvin@friscotexas.gov and list which shift you can work.
