FEBRUARY

Trick-a-Trout Kid Fish
Saturday, February 13
Time: 8 a.m. - 11 a.m.

Frisco Commons Park
(8000 McKinney Rd.)

Grab the fishing poles and bring the kids and enjoy a FREE morning of fishing and family fun at the annual Trick-A-Trout Kid Fish.  The Frisco Parks & Recreation Department will be releasing more than 3,000 Rainbow Trout into the pond at Frisco Commons Park.

This event is open to kids only from 8:00 – 11:00 a.m. After 11 a.m. fishing is open to the general public.  Those attending must bring their own bait, tackle and stringer.

Chunk Your Junk
Saturday, February 13

Easter Eggstravaganza
Saturday, March 20*
Time: 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
Location: Pizza Hut Park (main stadium field)
                  6000 West Main St.

Egg Hunt for ages 2 and younger:
 approximately 2 p.m.

Egg Hunt for ages 3 to 12:
 approximately 2:30 p.m.

The Easter Bunny will leave every girl and boy baskets full of joy at the 18th annual Easter Eggstravaganza. More than 60,000 eggs are up for grabs this year. Bounce houses and face painting 'eggcellent' fun.

Details on the Easter bonnet and tie contest and the parking and egg hunt field locations will be available beginning February 22 on FriscoFun.org.

Aqua Egg Hunt

Saturday, March 27

Time: 11 a.m. - noon

Location: Frisco Athletic 
                 Center 
      Indoor Aquatic Center
      (5828 Nancy Jane Ln.)

Cost: $12 per person


Dive in and join the hunt! The Easter Bunny will leave behind toy-filled eggs in the Indoor Aquatic Center pools.
Mesh bags will be provided for collecting eggs in the pool, but make sure to bring your own basket or bag with you to carry your collection home.

Admission includes egg hunt, day-long swim pass and a special treat from the Easter Bunny. An adult will need to stay in the water with any child seven and younger staying to swim after the egg hunt. Sign up

This event requires pre-registration. Registration ends March 25. No refunds given. Registration will be available online at FriscoFun.org beginning February 1.

MLB Pitch, Hit, Run
Saturday, March 27

Time: 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
Location: B.F. Phillips Community Park
                 (3335 4th Army Memorial Dr.)

Boys and girls ages 7 to 14 are invited to compete in this FREE baseball skills competition. Participants will showcase their pitching , catching and running abilities.

Competitors compete in four age groups: 7-8, 9-10, 11-12 & 13-14
(Age is determined as of July 17, 2010)

Frisco Freedom Fest

The 9th Annual Frisco Freedom Fest happens this year on Sunday, July 4 beginning at 4 p.m.  All your family favorites are back.  Admission to Party in the Plaza activities are free including the Community Stage with homegrown soloists, bands and dancers. The night is topped off with the Fireworks Extravaganza. More details coming in spring 2010!
