(November 5, 2013) As part of the Eldorado Parkway widening project, traffic will be switched today on Eldorado Parkway at Hillcrest Road and on Coit Road at Eldorado Parkway. The details of each switch are described below:
Eldorado Parkway between Hillcrest Road and Granbury Drive
Traffic will be switched so that east and westbound traffic on Eldorado Parkway will flow on opposite sides of the median as it passes through the intersection with Hillcrest Road. Westbound traffic will be shifted to the north side of the median at Granbury Drive. As a result, Granbury Drive will be closed at Eldorado Parkway for several weeks. Residents of Panther Creek Estates who normally use Granbury Drive will need to use Whitesboro Drive as an alternate route to Eldorado Parkway.
Motorists on southbound Whitesboro Drive should pay special attention to the new location of the stop line at Eldorado Parkway. Westbound motorists on Eldorado Parkway should pay special attention to the temporary transition from one side of the median to the other and travel through it slowly. All motorists are urged to use caution in the construction zone as people become accustomed to the new traffic patterns.
Coit Road at Eldorado Parkway
All traffic on Coit Road will be switched so that it will use the new pavement near the intersection with Eldorado Parkway. North and southbound traffic will now share the west half of the road while the east half is reconstructed.
Motorists should pay special attention to the new location of stop lines and turn lanes at the intersection and are urged to use caution in the construction zone as people become accustomed to the change in traffic patterns.
