Spray Parks to Remain Closed Under Stage 3 Water Restrictions

(May 17, 2013) Two of Frisco’s three spray grounds will remain closed under Stage 3 water restrictions, which take effect June 1.

Spray grounds at neighborhood parks Shepherds Glen (12012 Shepherds Hill Drive) and J.R. Newman (8211 Twin Falls Drive) will remain closed during the summer while Stage 3 restrictions are in place.

Frisco’s third spray ground at Frisco Commons, 8000 McKinney Road, will remain closed until mid-June while spray ground renovations are underway.  Once construction improvements are finished, the Frisco Commons spray ground will open to the public. It uses ‘well water’ to operate as allowed under Stage 3.

The Parks and Recreation Department encourages residents to use the City of Frisco’s indoor and outdoor aquatic facilities at the Frisco Athletic Center (FAC), 5828 Nancy Jane Lane.
