(June 2, 2011) Southbound Dallas Parkway and the southwest-bound SH 121 frontage road will be closed at the DNT/SRT interchange this weekend Friday night, Saturday night, and all day Sunday. Both frontage roads will close at 10:00 p.m. Friday night, June 3, and will reopen at 5:00 a.m. Saturday morning, June 4. The frontage roads will close again at 10:00 p.m. Saturday night, June 4, and will remain closed through Sunday and will reopen at 5:00 a.m. Monday morning, June 6.
These closures will not affect traffic to and from the Frisco ISD high school graduation ceremonies being held at the Dr Pepper Arena. The specific closures are described below. View the NTTA map of the closures and detours.
Southbound Dallas Parkway will be closed between Gaylord Parkway and the northeast-bound SH 121 frontage road. During the closure, all southbound traffic on the frontage road will be detoured west on Warren Parkway to southbound Legacy Drive from which they can access the SH 121 frontage roads or continue on to Dallas Parkway. Detour signs will be posted. Southbound traffic on the Dallas North Tollway will not be able to exit to SH 121 and should plan to use Legacy Drive or Parkwood Boulevard as an alternative route. Residents of Stonebriar Creek Estates will need to use their entrance on Legacy Drive.
The southwest-bound SH 121 frontage road will be closed between northbound Dallas Parkway and Legacy Drive. During the closure, all southwest-bound traffic on the SH 121 frontage road will be diverted south on Parkwood Boulevard and west on Headquarters Drive to reach the Dallas North Tollway or traffic can continue on and turn north on Legacy Drive to reach the SH 121 frontage roads. Detour signs will be posted.
These road closures are part of NTTA’s interchange construction project. Motorists are urged to use caution in the construction zone and to choose an alternate route in advance.
