(March 4, 2011) Southbound Dallas Parkway will be closed between Gaylord Parkway and SH 121 Friday night, March 4, and then again Saturday night, March 5 through early Monday morning, March 7. The frontage road will close at 8 p.m. Friday night and is expected to reopen by 8 a.m. Saturday morning. The frontage road will close again at 8 p.m. Saturday night and remain closed through Sunday. It is expected to reopen by 5 a.m. early Monday morning.
During these closures, all southbound traffic on Dallas Parkway that travels south of Gaylord Parkway must enter the southbound Dallas North Tollway. All other southbound traffic will be directed to turn left onto Gaylord Parkway and use Parkwood Boulevard as a detour.
Southbound traffic on the Dallas North Tollway will not be able to exit to SH 121 and should plan to use Legacy Drive or Parkwood Boulevard as an alternate route. Residents of Stonebriar Creek Estates will need to use the entrance on Legacy Drive.
This road closure is part of NTTA’s interchange construction project, and overlaps with the previously announced SRT/DNT interchange closures also taking place this weekend. Motorists are urged to use caution in the construction zone and plan to use an alternate route in advance.
