(August 3, 2011) City crews continue to repair a section of northbound Legacy Drive, which buckled yesterday afternoon due to extreme temperatures. City engineers expect to reopen the roadway section Saturday, August 6. In the meantime, motorists should continue to use caution while maneuvering through the detours.
Traffic has been switched on Legacy Drive one-half mile north of Lebanon Road so northbound traffic transitions over and shares the west half of the road with southbound traffic. In addition, Chippewa Trail is closed at the intersection with Legacy Drive.
Residents of the Cheyenne Crossing neighborhood will need to use Academy Drive to enter and leave their neighborhood. Traffic on Legacy Drive will experience some delay between Lebanon Road and Stonebrook Parkway as two lanes of traffic will need to merge into one lane in both directions. Northbound motorists should pay special attention to the temporary transitions from one side of the median to the other and travel through them slowly.
