(October 24, 2011) The Sam Rayburn Tollway (SRT)/Dallas North Tollway (DNT) interchange closures scheduled for tonight, Monday, October 24, include the northbound and southbound Dallas Parkway frontage roads and the southwest-bound SH 121 frontage road. The closures begin at 9:00 p.m. tonight and will end by 5:00 a.m. tomorrow morning. The details of each closure are described below:
The northbound Dallas Parkway frontage road will be closed between SH 121 and IKEA Drive. Northbound traffic will be detoured right onto the northeast-bound SH 121 frontage road, north on Parkwood Boulevard, and west on Gaylord Parkway to return to Dallas Parkway.
The southbound Dallas Parkway frontage road will be closed between SH 121 and Headquarters Drive in Plano. Southbound traffic should turn right onto the southwest-bound SH 121 frontage road and then go south on Legacy Drive to return to southbound Dallas Parkway.
The southwest-bound SH 121 frontage road will be closed between Parkwood Boulevard and northbound Dallas Parkway. Southwest-bound traffic will be detoured north on Parkwood Boulevard, west on Gaylord Parkway, and south on Dallas Parkway to return to SH 121.
Motorists are urged to use caution in the construction zone and to choose an alternate route in advance.
These road closures are part of NTTA’s interchange construction project which is prompting a series of overnight closures that will occur each night in October. Depending on the contractor’s schedule, a different combination of main lanes and/or frontage roads will be closed each night. Daily updates of each closure are available on www.ntta.org by clicking on “general lane and ramp closures” and the City of Frisco will announce each night’s closure as the information becomes available.
