(October 27, 2011) The Sam Rayburn Tollway (SRT)/Dallas North Tollway (DNT) interchange closures scheduled for tonight, Thursday, October 27, include the southwest-bound SH 121 frontage road and Headquarters Drive in Plano. The closures begin at 9:00 p.m. tonight and will end by 5:00 a.m. tomorrow morning. The details of each closure are described below:
The southwest-bound SH 121 frontage road will be closed between Parkwood Boulevard and northbound Dallas Parkway. Southwest-bound traffic will be detoured north on Parkwood Boulevard, west on Gaylord Parkway, and south on Dallas Parkway to return to SH 121.
Headquarters Drive in Plano will be closed between the Dallas Parkway frontage roads. Therefore, Headquarters Drive cannot be used tonight as an alternate route for traffic diverted off of the SH 121 frontage road.
Motorists are urged to use caution in the construction zone and to choose an alternate route in advance.
These road closures are part of NTTA’s interchange construction project which is prompting a series of overnight closures that will occur each night in October and November. Depending on the contractor’s schedule, a different combination of main lanes and/or frontage roads will be closed each night. Daily updates of each closure are available on www.ntta.org by clicking on “general lane and ramp closures” and the City of Frisco will announce each night’s closure as the information becomes available.
