Overnight Lane Closures, Detours around Sam Rayburn Tollway/Dallas North Tollway Interchange Tonight, October 17 

(October 17, 2011) The Sam Rayburn Tollway (SRT)/Dallas North Tollway (DNT) interchange closures scheduled for tonight, Monday, October 17, include the northeast-bound SRT, the southwest-bound SRT, and the exit ramp from southbound DNT to SH 121.  The closures begin at 9:00 p.m. tonight and will end by 5:00 a.m. tomorrow morning.  The details of each closure are described below:

The northeast-bound Sam Rayburn Tollway main lanes will be closed between Legacy Drive and Parkwood Boulevard.  Northeast-bound traffic will be diverted onto the northeast-bound SH 121 frontage road just east of Legacy Drive and will be able to re-enter the SRT east of Parkwood Boulevard.

The southwest-bound Sam Rayburn Tollway main lanes will be closed between Parkwood Boulevard and Legacy Drive.  Southwest-bound traffic will be diverted onto the southwest-bound SH 121 frontage road at Parkwood Boulevard and will be able to re-enter the SRT at Legacy Drive.

The southbound DNT exit ramp to SH 121 will be closed.  Southbound traffic on the DNT wanting to exit to SH 121 should plan to exit earlier at the Warren Parkway exit and stay on the frontage road to reach SH 121. 

Motorists are urged to use caution in the construction zone and to choose an alternate route in advance.

These road closures are part of NTTA’s interchange construction project which is prompting a series of overnight closures that will occur each night in October. Depending on the contractor’s schedule, a different combination of main lanes and/or frontage roads will be closed each night.  Daily updates of each closure are available on www.ntta.org by clicking on “general lane and ramp closures” and the City of Frisco will announce each night’s closure as the information becomes available.
