Next 'Coffee with the Mayor' to be held at Frisco's Emergency Operations Center January 12

(December 22, 2008)  Learn how state of the art technology helps the City of Frisco manage emergencies while you enjoy a cup of ‘Coffee with the Mayor”. On January 12 at 8 a.m., Mayor Maher Maso’s “Coffee with the Mayor” moves to Frisco’s Emergency Operations Center (E.O.C), located inside Frisco Central Fire Station, 8601 Gary Burns Drive. Interested citizens should meet at the E.O.C.

“I’ve had some citizens inquire about emergency preparedness, so what better way to showcase our advanced technology and how it compliments our excellent city staff than with a ‘show and tell’, of sorts,” said Mayor Maher Maso.

In June, Mayor Maso launched “Coffee with the Mayor” as one of his communication initiatives.  The program centers around coffee and casual conversation and is held the second Monday of each month from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. “Coffee with the Mayor” is usually held on the fifth floor of City Hall, inside the George A. Purefoy Municipal Center, 6101 Frisco Square Blvd.

The February “Coffee with the Mayor” is being postponed due to Denton and Collin County Days, which are held every year in Austin and are opportunities for city and county leaders to meet with state lawmakers.   The March “Coffee with the Mayor” resumes on March 9 at City Hall.
