(January 25, 2012) An initial report from the Frisco Fire Marshal sites a lightning strike likely caused an early morning fire that damaged a home in the 10800 block of Stone House Ln. At 1:07 a.m. firefighters responded to a ‘hazardous condition’ call at the house located southwest of the intersection of Legacy Drive and Eldorado Parkway. Upon arriving, firefighters first saw smoke, then flames, coming through the roof, and the incident was upgraded to a structure fire. Firefighters contained the flames to the attic and the second-story of the approximately 4,000 square-foot home.
A family of four was home when the fire broke out. They got out of the house without injury.
Three engines, one aerial ladder truck, a special operations unit, an ambulance and battalion chief responded to the fire.
The fire marshal will continue his investigation as soon as the weather permits.
