(June 22, 2009) On Friday, June 19, 2009, at 9:00 p.m., Frisco Police units and Frisco Fire units responded to the 15000 block of Appaloosa Drive in Frisco in regards to a shooting that had just occurred. Frisco Police officers arrested David Lynn Whitson (W/M, 44YOA) of McKinney for Attempted Murder.
Whitson and the victim, Andrew James Robinson (W/M, 31 YOA), were engaged in an argument when Whitson shot Robinson with a handgun in the abdomen. Robinson was transported via air to Methodist Hospital in Dallas. Robinson is recovering from his wound.
Whitson’s bond was set at $50,000.00. Whitson was transferred to the Collin County jail. Attempted Murder is a second degree felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.00. The investigation is ongoing.
