(September 10, 2013) Citizens throughout Frisco are invited to a quiet observance honoring those who died as a result of terrorist attacks on 9/11.
Tomorrow, September 11, Frisco Garden Club members will gather at Freedom Meadow, located at Warren Sports Complex, 7599 Eldorado Parkway, beginning at 7 p.m. Wildflower seeds will be scattered in memory of those who died on 9/11.
Always open to the public, this year’s observance does not have an agenda.
Freedom Meadow is in the park’s northeast section, near the tennis and volleyball courts. The memorial meadow features an arbor, native plant garden and monument dedicated to victims of terrorism.
Aside from the Frisco Garden Club, Freedom Meadow is supported by the City of Frisco and its Parks and Recreation Department, as well as the Frisco Community Development Corporation. Major contributors also include the Lauren Catuzzi Grandcolas Foundation and Turrentine Jackson Morrow Funeral Home.
