Four new direct-connecting ramps open today, October 31, at the Sam Rayburn Tollway/Dallas North Tollway interchange

(October 31, 2011) Four new direct-connecting ramps at the Sam Rayburn Tollway (SRT)/Dallas North Tollway (DNT) interchange are scheduled to open Monday morning, October 31.  These new ramps will allow traffic on both directions of the SRT to exit directly to either the northbound or southbound DNT.  In addition, traffic on the southwest-bound SH 121 frontage road will be able to enter a new ramp west of Preston Road which will join the new major ramps and give them direct access to the northbound or southbound DNT without going through the traffic signals at Dallas Parkway... view the NTTA map of the new ramps.

The opening of these new ramps should reduce the amount of traffic traveling through the signalized intersection of the Dallas Parkway and SH 121 frontage roads.  It will also create new traffic patterns on the main lanes of the Sam Rayburn Tollway and the Dallas North Tollway.  Motorists are urged to use caution in the area as people become accustomed to the new traffic patterns.
