(July 7, 2011) Eldorado Parkway will be closed just west of Custer Road for 20 days starting Friday, July 8, at 9:00 a.m. The road is expected to reopen at 6:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 28 (weather permitting). Both directions of Eldorado Parkway will be closed between Custer Road and the driveway that serves the Kroger shopping center to the north and the new McDonald’s to the south. Traffic on Custer Road will not be affected. At the same time this closure goes into effect, Westridge Boulevard will be opened again to Custer Road, which will provide a more convenient detour route.
During the road closure, traffic on Eldorado Parkway will be detoured around the closure by using Independence Parkway, Westridge Boulevard, and Custer Road. In addition, through traffic that would normally use Eldorado Parkway can use Main Street/Stacy Road as an alternate route to cross Custer Road.
This road closure is part of TxDOT’s Custer Road widening project. Motorists are encouraged to use caution in the construction zone and to choose an alternate route in advance.
