More… The Frisco Police Department is now accepting applications for VOLUNTEERS who would like to assist with the Junior Police Academy. Volunteers must be enrolled in Frisco ISD schools and must have completed 8th grade to be eligible. Students who have previously attended JPA as a cadet are preferred, but not required. Volunteers must successfully complete a background check. Officers will complete paperwork on community service hours that can be used through FISD as well as other organizations. The show-up time each day will be at 8:30 a.m. and the academy ends at 4:30 p.m. Volunteers must be able to attend all four days of the week they are selecting to volunteer. Volunteers will need to bring their lunch each day & provide their own transportation to and from Griffin Middle School. Less…
