Deferred Disposition Request

  1. Deferred Disposition Request

This form allows you to make your request for Deferred Disposition, but does not guarantee you that you will be granted the Deferral. You may not request a deferral online if you are under the age of 17 or charged with an offense under the Texas Alcohol Beverage Code, Tobacco Offense or violations of the Texas Penal Code. Your request will be reviewed by Court staff and you will be contacted by email or by phone once a determination has been reached on your eligibility. If you are granted Deferral, a Deferral Agreement will be emailed to you along with your payment requirements. If you have more than one violation on a citation, you may request Deferral on multiple violations on one citation. If you are under the age of 25 and charged with a moving violation, you will be required to complete a driver's safety course as a term of your deferral. You must swear and affirm you meet the minimum qualification when completing this form. Deferred Disposition payments may be made online but ONLY AFTER THE COURT HAS GRANTED DEFERRAL AND YOU HAVE RECEIVED A NOTICE FROM THE COURT WITH PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS. Any payment that is made without being authorized by the court may result in a conviction. The Court assesses a special expense fee for Deferral requests, this is normally $50 above the bench fine amount but not to exceed any statutory maximum fine.
