Does the department have a tattoo policy?

Yes, the department has a policy related to tattoos.  Employees may have tattoos, but may not have body art or tattoos on the head, face, neck, ears or hands. Cosmetic tattooing and wedding band tattoos are allowed within reason. Tattoos that are deemed offensive, inappropriate and/or presents an unprofessional appearance in nature, must be covered by a standard police uniform. The Chief of Police, or his designee, makes the final decision on what meets these criteria and what will be allowed.
