Need some good ideas about what to plant in your yard? The Environmental Services Division of the City of Frisco Public Works Department has some blooming examples. Two Texas sustainable drought-resistant gardens are now available for you to explore.
The gardens, which feature more than 30 varieties of drought-resistant plants, are located adjacent to the Frisco Public Works building at 11300 Research Rd., and near Shawnee Trail Elementary School at 10701 Preston Vineyard Dr.
These gardens were created to educate Frisco residents about environmentally-friendly landscaping plants and practices.
Please take a virtual tour with the following photos and check out the plant list and gardening information here. The gardens are open to the public daily. If you have any questions about the garden, please call the Frisco Public Works Facility at 972-292-5800 or email Molly Kinson, Environmental Education Coordinator at MKinson@FriscoTexas.gov.
