(March 21, 2022) Leadership Frisco Class 25, a Frisco Chamber of Commerce program,  is raising funds for improvements at a city facility focused on safety education and marking its 15th anniversary.   The class project 1525 Leadership Lane is centered on upgrades to make Frisco Fire Safety Town presented by Texas Health Hospital Frisco more universally accessible to all visitors.  Leadership Frisco Class 25 set its fundraising goal at $125,000.  Enhancements center on the home learning area which will be given a new address of 1525 Leadership Lane. Project goals include:

 •         Removing the stairs and lowering the floor, ceiling, and windows of the educational smoke room so all students can access and learn

 •        Updating the furniture and design in both the smoke room and the kitchen classroom, where students learn what to do in a fire or severe weather event

•         Ensuring simulated experiences include sounds for the visually impaired and visuals for the hearing-impaired

•         Providing sensory kits including weighted blankets and other items to help ease anxiety in students with sensory needs

•         Future project phases may include doorway transitions, seating for all abilities, and other universal design improvements

Frisco Fire Safety Town presented by Texas Health Hospital Frisco is an educational facility serving elementary students. If you would like to help Leadership Frisco Class 25 reach its goal of $125,000 for 1525 Leadership Lane please donate at this link.
