Other Dismissals

The law allows certain violations to be dismissed if the defect is corrected on time. To have a citation dismissed for compliance or proof of remedy, you must:

Get the violation corrected at once.
Show proof to the court within 20 working days from the date of your citation.
Pay the $10 court fee (unless otherwise indicated)

$10 Dismissal Fee Offenses

Display altered, unclean, or obscured license plates
Display registration for a period other than in effect
Operate vehicle without two plates
Operate vehicle without valid registration displayed
Operate vehicle with defective equipment
Violate driver’s license restriction or endorsement
Fail to Display Driver's License (no fee)

How do I request a dismissal?

Online. Submit your request now.

Mail or Night Drop Box. Send a copy of your proof along with your payment for the Dismissal Fee to the Frisco Municipal Court, 6865 Main St. Frisco, TX 75034.

In-Person. You may appear at the Frisco Municipal Court during regular business hours and show proof to a court clerk. An officer may inspect your vehicle to verify that the defect has been fixed.

Submission of a request does not guarantee that your case will be dismissed. The court will review all requests and proof.
