Clean It & Green It 2024

The City of Frisco is hosting a spring cleanup event, 'Clean It & Green It' the Saturday before Earth Day. Volunteers help Keep Frisco Beautiful by participating in litter cleanups in our community.

Pre-Registration closes Monday, April 8th. Registration will be available the morning of the event at the Environmental Collection Center.

Clean It & Green It Volunteer Registration & Waiver 2024

  1. Clean It & Green It April 20th from 9-11 a.m.

    Natural Resources is hosting a volunteer event to help keep  our community beautiful and trash out of our lakes, rivers, and streams. Join us for Clean It & Green It 2024 where you can help Keep Frisco Beautiful! Before the event, the team leader will receive information as to the registrants of your group and the assigned location. 

    Each family participating in Clean It & Green It must submit their own waiver form to be registered. All participants covered by the waiver form must be listed in the section labeled "Volunteers Covered By Liability Waiver" to participate in the cleanup and receive a free t-shirt *while supplies last. Teams are limited to no more than 20 people. If your group is larger than 20 volunteers, please email Hannah Valentine directly. Each family MUST fill out their own waiver and have matching "Team Names". 

    Team Leaders are responsible for collecting supplies for and distributing those supplies to their team as well as bringing trash back to the Environmental Collection Center after the cleanup.

  7. Location accessibility

    All cleanup activities are impactful for the environment. Please consider your team's abilities and If you or someone on your team needs an easily accessible cleanup location (paved sidewalks) or if your team is interested in completing a cleanup in more challenging terrains (steep slopes, in creek beds, uneven footing) we will assign according to your preference.  Please let us know if you have any specific concerns for accessibility and we will do our best to accommodate. 

    If you are writing in a requested location to clean up: we will do our best to assign your team there, we have some limitations due to liability and land ownership of where we cannot assign volunteers to clean up. 

  8. Waiver of Liability

    In consideration of the City of Frisco allowing me/ my children/ my organization/ my family to participation in "Clean It and Green It", and being aware of the possible injuries that could occur as a result of this participation, I, on behalf of myself, my child, my organization, or my family, release the City of Frisco officials, employees, agents, instructors, from any and all injuries and damages whatsoever arising from participation in this event.

    I, my heirs and representatives, agree to indemnify, save and hold harmless the City of Frisco, its officials, employees, and agents from any and all claims made by me/my child/ my organization or my insurer for injuries or damages related to any City of Frisco event.

  9. Volunteers Covered by Liability
    Please list the volunteers covered by this liability waiver (first and last names). While supplies last, each volunteer will receive a free Clean It & Green It super volunteer shirt! *Request shirt size(s) below, we will do our best to accommodate.

Stream Clean 2024

The annual fall cleanup event that targets debris in our streams and natural areas. Contributes to cleaner waterways for the environment in the City of Frisco.

Fall Cleanup 2024

As the plants again go dormant, another opportunity arises for an impactful community cleanup! To join this community cleanup, no preregistration is needed, just go to the Environmental Collection Center between 8-9 a.m. to register on site, collect supplies, and get your Ecosystems Defender t-shirt (while supplies last).

Schedule of Events

Pre-registration opens at least one month prior to the community cleanup event and closes 7 business days prior to the event. To speed up the process  fill out our waiver ahead of time. All volunteers must be covered by the waiver to participate. 

Registered participants Will be assigned a location for their cleanup and receive supplies: gloves, bags, hand sanitizer, and (while supplies last) a free t-shirt! 

The litter clean-up is between 9 - 11 a.m. at the assigned location.  After the cleanup, volunteers bring their trash back to the Environmental Collection Center before the gates close at 1 p.m.
